Data & AI Readiness Assessment

Answer 10 questions across 3 key areas of your organisation's data and AI readiness. Get a personalised score and actionable recommendations in under 5 minutes.

    What you get

Ten questions, then a report in your inbox. This is what the report looks like.

    • A score out of 100

Where your organisation sits today, as one number you can put in front of a leadership team.

    • A breakdown by area

Separate scores for data foundations, analytics, and AI execution, so you can see which one is holding the other two back.

    • Five recommendations

Written for the band you land in, in the order we would tackle them. Not general advice about starting an AI journey.

    Our Recommendations

    • Invest in self-serve dashboards so teams can answer their own questions without bottlenecks.
    • Implement data quality checks and validation rules at the point of entry.
    • Begin documenting data definitions and lineage to build trust across stakeholders.
    • Foster a data-driven culture by embedding KPIs into leadership decision-making processes.
    • Explore low-risk AI experiments on your most reliable data sets.

An example result. Your numbers will be your own.

    How the score works

Ten questions across three areas. Each answer scores one to four, and the totals become a percentage for each area and one score overall.

That overall score puts you in one of four bands, and the recommendations you get are written for your band rather than picked at random.

    10 questions, 3 areas.

    The four bands:

    Foundational

    0 to 40

    Developing

    41 to 60

    Advanced

    61 to 80

    AI-Ready

    81 to 100

It is a self assessment, so it is only as accurate as the answers you give it. Treat it as a starting point and a shared language for the conversation, not a grade.

    What happens to your details

We ask for a name, an email and a company so we know where to send the report and who we are talking to.

The report is emailed to you as soon as you finish. If it looks like something we can help with, someone from Building 8 will get in touch. If not, the report is yours and that is the end of it. We do not sell your details and there is no mailing list to unsubscribe from.
