Imran Hugo
Founder
Imran has spent nearly thirty years building software that businesses run on, from life-insurance policy platforms and a 250,000-policy migration to the advertising sales systems behind one of Australia's largest media companies. He still works in the code.
At Building 8 he is lead engineer on a multi-tenant SaaS platform for a national online marketplace, and the architect of Alloy, our data platform. Originally from South Africa, he founded Building 8 in Australia.
Meet The Team
The people you'll actually work with.
Tim builds the data foundations everything else sits on, and has for seventeen years: SQL Server warehousing at Westpac, eight years running big-data platforms at Nine, Azure data lakes since. At Building 8 he leads data engineering for WT Partnership's Azure estate and designed the ingestion pipeline behind a multi-tenant SaaS platform, proving the end-to-end flow when the source data would not cooperate.
Cris runs delivery. He scopes the work, plans it and keeps it moving, then gets into the platform himself when the plan meets reality. Recent work includes putting governance under a 164-report Power BI estate and leading the data model on a multi-tenant SaaS build. Before Building 8: digital twins and BIM at WT Partnership, and a PhD in smart infrastructure.
Jason spent nearly four years at Microsoft as the Azure lead for professional and business services, helping organisations modernise applications, get value from their data and put AI into production. Before that, a decade of infrastructure engineering and consulting in Melbourne, Brisbane and London. He joined Building 8 in September 2026 to run sales, and he would rather give you a straight answer than a pitch.
Charlie advises Building 8 on its growth plan. He led WT Partnership's international client engagement team across more than twenty offices, with a growth strategy adopted by its global board, and before that built businesses in Singapore: a commercial furniture distributor operating across five countries, and the ClubCo and MultiCo workspace platforms. He has watched this team get the data straight first, which is why he is here.
William builds product features end to end, from the screen to the database, and makes them fast. On a multi-tenant SaaS platform he owns the video media product line and cut its busiest page from around five seconds to around one. Before Building 8 he built serverless reporting tools at WT Partnership. He holds a Master of IT by research in serverless edge computing.
Brandon has been on the core team of a multi-tenant SaaS build since its first day: hardening the common data model batch by batch, building the notification system from proof of concept to production, and shipping dashboard features through the client's review process. Before that, six years across logistics, media and construction software, and an MBA in information technology.
Amir joined Building 8 in July 2026 with a Bachelor of Data Science from Macquarie University and three years on a live tax and financial-services platform, where he built C# features, Azure Functions and SQL reporting logic and supported them in production. He brings statistical training and the habit of shipping work that real businesses depend on.
